The Input tool is where most models begin (unless you’re using a Manual Input tool). You can use it to fetch data from all your connections. If you don’t see a table that you believe you should, it’s probably because you don’t have permissions to see it.

There are three column in the list of tables: type, source and name.

The Type column specifies where this table comes from. A cube icon - - means that the table is generated by another model. A downward-facing arrow - - means that the table is created by a connection. A database icon - - means that this table is in your database but isn’t created by Less (either through a connection or a model).

The Source column represent the name of the asset that is generating the table. If the table is generated by a connection or model, it will be the name of the connection or model. If it’s a database table, it will refer to the name of the database.

The Name column is the table name.
